Beware Insidious Sin

Sin is insidious! Insidious is an adjective that describes something that is subtly and gradually causing harm, while remaining hidden or appearing harmless at first.  The word originates from the Latin word insidiae (meaning “ambush” or “to lie in wait”).  Sin is sneaky; it slowly creeps into our lives without us realizing that it has taken hold.  It can start out as a misunderstood statement that turns friends against each other or an overheard conversation that turns into gossip.  We need to remember the words in 1 Peter 5:8, which says: “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:”  We all sin, so if and when we do, let’s remember to repent and be extra vigilant and thank God that He forgives.  Sin divides, love unifies!  God bless you!!

There IS someone out to get you!

Have you ever heard the expression “I think someone’s out to get me?” Well, someone sure is!
