Ring Those Bells!

Since biblical times, bells and cymbals have been rung to proclaim the joy in heaven and peace on earth at Christmas. When we hear Christmas bells, our hearts should be lifted. We sing the song “I Heard the Bells on Christmas Day,” and some know the poem written by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow on Christmas Day in 1863, “Christmas Bells.” Bells were a symbol of rejoicing in 1 Chronicles 13:8: “And David and all Israel played before God with all their might, and with singing, and with harps, and with psalteries, and with timbrels, and with cymbals, and with trumpets.” This Christmas, think of the joy they felt and rejoice! God bless you.
