I think we can all agree that power can be used for good and bad. We only have to look at the state of politics to see the bad. Many men in scripture used the power given to them by God for bad, but I am reminded of one who used God’s power in a good way. When Elijah went up against the prophets of Baal, he called upon the power of God to destroy their idol. Psalm 77:13b says: “who is so great a God as our God?” We also have the power of God’s grace to do good things. All we have to do is ask in faith, amen? God bless you!
Can’t Sleep?
There are so many people who struggle with getting to sleep or staying asleep. Our minds are filled with clutter, things not done today, or things yet to be done tomorrow or maybe concerns about the future. There are sleep aids to help us, like melatonin or zzzzquil, and even sounds like brown, blue or green noise, but the truth is, we don’t need sleep aids when we have God. Psalm 4:8 says, “I will both lay me down in peace, and sleep: for thou, Lord, only makest me dwell in safety.” Who needs medication when we already have the great physicians, amen? God bless you!
Life is Short
Have you ever thought about what the biggest surprise in life is? I think it might be how short it really is. Almost before we know it our life is over. On the one hand, life’s shortness should challenge us to work for Christ and share him with others right now, before our time is up. On the other hand we can be comforted; because life is short we have eternity right in front of us where we will worship Him forever. We know in our hearts that our time is limited. We read in James 4:14 “For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little while and then vanisheth away.” Let’s all live our life to the fullest while can serve our risen Savior. God bless you!
