Looking for the Important Things

There are many in this world who don’t seek what’s important. They want fame, fortune, and success. Ponce de Leon searched for the Fountain of Youth, seeking eternal life.  Many spend fortunes trying to stay young to accomplish the same goal, and, unfortunately, they don’t know that there is only way to receive eternal life: through Jesus Christ. 1 John 5:11-12 tells us, “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life, and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” Fanny Crosby wrote the hymn, “Blessed Assurance,” I pray that those who don’t know the Savior will find him and his blessed assurance this season.  God bless you, and Merry Christmas!

Where is Your Hope?

When the lotto recently reached a billion dollars, people lined up. Why? Hope! In times like these, everyone is looking for it, but the chance of winning is one in d of millions, a very small percentage. But the chances of finding real hope is 100 percent found in Jesus Christ. Romans 15:12 says “The Root of Jesse will spring up, one who will arise to rule over the nations; in him the Gentiles will hope.” Let’s remember to put our hope in Him and share it with everyone we meet.
