Forgiveness

At some point in our lives, we have all had to apologize for something or to someone, asking for forgiveness. Whether it be for an innocent remark that hurts a person’s feelings, betraying a confidence, or for physical or emotional damage as in a car accident. Asking for forgiveness can be hard, as in David’s case. He gave a heartfelt apology, begging for forgiveness. In Psalm 51, he said, “Have mercy upon me, O God….For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin is ever before me. Against thee, thee only have I sinned….” When we sin and repent, we are doing the same thing as King David. The important thing is that we need to ask for forgiveness daily. Have you spoken to Him today? God bless you!

You are Seen!

I think it is important that we have a favorite bible verse posted where we can always see it. Personally, I have Psalm 51 on my computer desk. The Bible tells us to write God’s word on the doorposts of our house and on our gates. Another good verse is Genesis 16:13, which says: “Thou God seest me.” We all know God is omnipresent, and to some that be unsettling, knowing that he is always around seeing the sins we might commit each day, but it could also mean that He is always there protecting us. I think this is a verse that is a constant promise of God’s loving care. Let’s give thanks that God always sees us. God bless you!
