Easter Sunday! A day to rejoice after the brutal treatment of Jesus on Good Friday. Our Lord, after being in a cold, dark tomb has risen and defeated death! Can you imagine the joy Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary, the mother of James and the other women must have felt when the angel said in Luke 24:6-7: “He is not here, but is risen: remember how he spake unto you when he was yet in Galilee, Saying, The Son of man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.” We can share that joy knowing that our savior defeated death and now sits at the right hand of God, waiting for the time when He will call us and we will rise to meet him in the air. We can rejoice because of Resurrection Sunday and what it means for our future. God bless each of you!
