Facing Our Mountains

Mountain climbing is hard; I know because I’ve done it in my military training. When you look at a rock formation from afar, it seems smooth, but when you get close, you can see the bumps, cracks, and ledges. Those are the very things that enable climbers to conquer a mountain. In life, we face many mountains filled with crags and bumps, and as we handle them, it trains us to conquer our mountains. Paul said in Romans 8:38, “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” I know God will be there to help you whenever you face a mountain. God bless you!

In The Midst of the Chaos

In our everyday world, we are surrounded by noise, distracting us from what’s important. I am reminded of Elijah, who was distracted because of the threat on his life, was told by God in 1 Kings 19:11-12 “And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord. And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake: And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.” It doesn’t take big things to hear our God. We just need to listen for His voice. God bless you!

No Rejection

Rejection is the worst! Imagine being rejected by a parent or child; imagine being rejected after a job interview, or even worse, a marriage proposal. God promises that he will never reject us. Isaiah 41:9b-10a tells us: “Thou art my servant; I have chosen thee, and will not cast thee away. Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God.” It’s wonderful to know that we will always have him on our side. God bless you today!
