Mountain climbing is hard; I know because I’ve done it in my military training. When you look at a rock formation from afar, it seems smooth, but when you get close, you can see the bumps, cracks, and ledges. Those are the very things that enable climbers to conquer a mountain. In life, we face many mountains filled with crags and bumps, and as we handle them, it trains us to conquer our mountains. Paul said in Romans 8:38, “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.” I know God will be there to help you whenever you face a mountain. God bless you!
In The Midst of the Chaos
In our everyday world, we are surrounded by noise, distracting us from what’s important. I am reminded of Elijah, who was distracted because of the threat on his life, was told by God in 1 Kings 19:11-12 “And he said, Go forth, and stand upon the mount before the Lord. And behold, the Lord passed by, and a great and strong wind rent the mountains, and brake in pieces the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind: and after the wind an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake: And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.” It doesn’t take big things to hear our God. No Rejection
Rejection is the worst! Imagine being rejected by a parent or child; imagine being rejected after a job interview, or even worse, a marriage proposal. God promises that he will never reject us. Isaiah 41:9b-10a tells us: “Thou art my servant; I have chosen thee, and will not cast thee away. Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God.” It’s wonderful to know that we will always have him on our side. God bless you today!
